It was one of those times I'd written myself into a corner, and needed to take a step back to get myself out.Mike Perschonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09335943113292616702noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2331660459075373635.post-57514368334519933462007-08-24T18:13:00.000-06:002007-08-24T18:13:00.000-06:00I wasn't stoked with the mp3's Blackout, but you'v...I wasn't stoked with the mp3's Blackout, but you've got me thinking outside the box. Maybe I could get some hip up and coming band to do a cover of it...I like the song, and the lyrics are right.

As a huge fan of King's X, I would also seriously vie for "Out of the Silent Planet" from the Gretchen Goes to Nebraska album. If there was ever a song that encapsulated magic and belief, I think it's that one.Mike Perschonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09335943113292616702noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2331660459075373635.post-10319093495139458052007-08-24T15:55:00.000-06:002007-08-24T15:55:00.000-06:00i'm looking forward to the craziness. i love how y...i'm looking forward to the craziness. i love how you're totally expanding on blackout.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01752371137909980698noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2331660459075373635.post-47449254529164200912007-08-24T13:38:00.000-06:002007-08-24T13:38:00.000-06:00Are you kidding me? I would be seriously tempted to switch the channel. I've emailed you 3 alternatives for a title sequence. The first is Laika - Black Cat Bone, which has a mystical quality to it. The second is Thousand Foot Krutch - Make Me a Believer, which is more lyrically relevant. And the third is an instrumental that reminds me of the end of the Battlestar Galactica opening title sequence where they give you a glimpse of the episode. And besides, I'm sure Seven Devil Fix could come up with something better.Blackouthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12647395134002905584noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2331660459075373635.post-58824116194827240372007-08-23T18:22:00.000-06:002007-08-23T18:22:00.000-06:00Oh...and the reference to the Olivia Newton John s...Oh...and the reference to the Olivia Newton John song is "Magic" from the Soundtrack to Xanadu, which is coincidentally the song I would choose to have played over the title credits were this a television series.Mike Perschonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09335943113292616702noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2331660459075373635.post-84807133207838634222007-08-23T18:21:00.000-06:002007-08-23T18:21:00.000-06:00I was trying really hard to leave the whole "Trave...I was trying really hard to leave the whole "Traveling the Tree" conversation alone so the Leprechauns would still introduce it, but I just couldn't write the episodes without the Fates revealing that aspect of the Tree. So I'll have to do some rewrites of the first Leprechaun episodes once this story thread wraps up...get ready for things to get really crazy, really soon. See ya Monday for the next catch up episode.Mike Perschonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09335943113292616702noreply@blogger.com
